Jan Everhard
(1951, the Netherlands) He covered over a period of 18 years all kinds of news assignments for different daily and weekly newspapers. For example the protest movements such as the environmental and antinuclear action groups during the seventies, eighties and nineties; in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe.
Since 1977 he has photographed developments in Dutch politics and in Dutch Trade-Unions intensely.
In 1981 he was awarded an assignment from the Dutch Rijksmuseum to photograph the parliamentary election campaign. The photos of this assignment were exhibited in 1981 and 1982.
He was co-author of several photobooks and has published a book about the social position and treatment of refugees and asylum seekers in the Netherlands.
During a period of 19 years he was a part-time lecturer on photography.
His work is sold by the The Hague based Agency Hollandse-Hoogte.
